TheFork

TheFork is an online restaurant reservation website (& app) that I use on a regular basis when looking to dine out.

You may have previously heard of Dimmi which TripAdvisor acquired and rebranded to TheFork.

They now operate in over 11 countries with more than 50,000 restaurants and in Australia alone there are over 4,500 restaurants. So you won't be short of choices whether you're looking for a quiet meal for two or a bigger celebratory meal with friends.

Many restaurants run special offers and promotions that are only available if you book through the website. These can be anything up to 50% off your food bill. So there are some big savings to be made!

Even if there isn't an offer at your preferred restaurant, you will still be getting something. For every booking you make, you will receive 1000 points. Once you reach 10,000 points, you'll get a $20 reward to redeem at selected restaurants.

In addition, you can speed up your points collection by reviewing your meal experience which will give you another 1000 points.

So you could get a $20 rewards after 5 bookings and 5 reviews - not too bad if you ask me!

I should also mention a recent $20 cashback promotion that they had with AMEX. All you needed to do was sync your AMEX card via TheFork website, book a table at a participating restaurant and spend $50 or more. As long as you paid for the bill with your synced card, you will see a $20 credit appear on your AMEX statement normally within 5 business days later but it can take up to 90 days.

When I used the offer back in February, it reflected within 3 days. As always, it's important to check the T&Cs as the offer was only available to the first 10,000 people to sync their card and book via the website, but app bookings were excluded.

So head over to www.thefork.com.au to sign up and start booking.
